Honor X40 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC and 120Hz AMOLED Display Launched

Honor X40 has been launched in China today as an affordable Android smartphone. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The Honor X40 is the successor to the Honor X30 which was launched last year December. Some of the other notable specifications of the latest smartphone are a 120Hz AMOLED display, 50MP dual rear cameras, and a gigantic 5,100mAh battery with 40W fast charging support.

Honor X40 Price, and Availablity

Honor X40 has been priced in China at CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs. 17,100) for the base 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage. The 8GB RAM with 128GB storage model comes at CNY 1,699 (approximately Rs. 19,400) and the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model price is set at CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 22,800). The top-of-the-line 12GB RAM with 256GB inbuilt storage model carries a price tag of CNY 2,299 (approximately Rs. 26,200).

Customers can purchase the device through Honor’s official online store in China. It is available in Caiyun Chasing the Moon, Magic Night Black, and Mo Yuqing color options.

Honor X40 has a dual-SIM slot that supports both 5G and 4G LTE connectivity. The smartphone has offered a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It also features a 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, 800 nits of peak brightness, and 1.07 billion colors. Let’s talk about processor, it is offering an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC clubbed with Adreno 619 GPU.

In the camera department, the handset offers two cameras on the back including a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, and a 2MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The back panel also comes with an LED flash. Upfront, it is equipped with an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. In terms of memory and storage, it brings up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Though, the RAM can be extended by up to 7GB using additional inbuilt storage.

Onboard sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light, gravity sensor, gyroscope, and compass. According to the company, the device measures 161.6 x 73.9 x 7.9mm and weighs 172 grams.

The Honor X40 features an in-display fingerprint sensor and 2D face recognition for biometric authentication. Coming to the battery, Honor X40 has provided a 5,100mAh battery that can be charged through a 40W fast charging technology. The phone gets Bluetooth v5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, and GPS connectivity. There’s also a USB Type-C port to connect the charger.
