HTC U11 with Snapdragon 835 SoC Launched: Specs, Price and Release Date

After a lot of publicity or promotion, the HTC has finally announced their new flagship smartphone called as HTC U11 at an event in Taiwan. However, we already know a lot about HTC U11, including Qualcomm latest chipset, liquid surface design, squeezable Edge Sense feature and more. The phone will be available in five Amazing color variants, i.e. Silver, Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White, and Solar Red. Let’s talk about its pricing details, the HTC U11 is Priced in Europe starts from EUR 749 (approximately Rs. 53,000) and in the US it’s $696 (approximately Rs. 44600). The handset will start rolling out in select countries from next week and will be available for others June 2017.

Coming to the specs and features, it comes with 5.5-inch Super LCD 5 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone has quad HD display that carries a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The new HTC U11 comes with Edge Sensor feature for new squeeze interaction that lets you launch the camera and send text messages. You can also customize it to open an email and launch any application. It measures 153.9 x 75.9 x 7.9mm and weight around 169grams.

Under the hood, it is powered by the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC clocked at 2.45GHz quad-core CPU along with Adreno 540 GPU. It is available in two memory options, one 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage and other 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage, but memory can be expanded via microSD card (up to 2TB). In the terms of Connectivity, it includes 4G VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, USB 3.1 Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and NFC support.

In the camera department, the device sports a 12-megapixel UltraPixel 3  rear camera with ultra spread autofocus, slow-motion, BSI sensor, OIS, f/1.7 aperture, 4K video recording and dual-LED flash. Rear camera features include face detection autofocus, Pro mode with manual control, HDR Boost, Panorama, and Hyperlapse. On the front side, it has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor and 1080p video recording. Front camera features include live make-up, auto selfie, voice selfie, HDR Boost and Selfie Panorama.

The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) with HTC Sense UI on the top. There is a fingerprint sensor which is embedded in the home button. The company incorporates a 3000mAh battery that offers up to 24.5 hours of talk time and 14 days of standby time. It also comes with USB-C audio, HTC USonic with Active Noise Cancellation, HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition, 3D Audio recording with 4 microphones and Hi-Res audio certified.
