Oppo’s latest A-series smartphone was recently launched in Malaysia, called Oppo A98 5G. It is a mid-range handset that carries a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM. The phone has offered a large 6.72-inch 120Hz display that also has a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The Android-based smartphone carries ColorOS 13 Operating System. Oppo A98 5G Price
The company has not disclosed its pricing and availability details yet. However, the device has been listed on various e-commerce websites for RM 1300 (approximately $292/Rs. 23,975) for the 8GB RAM with 256GB internal storage model. It comes in two color options, i.e. Dreamy Blue, and Cool Black.
Let’s talk about its specs and features, the dual-SIM supporting Oppo A98 5G runs on Android 13 based ColorOS 13 out of the box. The handset comes with a 6.72-inch IPS LCD display with full-HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Moving to the processor, it is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC clubbed with Adreno 619 GPU. It offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Furthermore, the RAM can be expanded through virtual RAM technology up to 8GB.

Coming to the optics, Oppo A98 5G arrives with a triple-camera unit that houses a 64MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP micro lens. In terms of front camera, the smartphone is equipped with a 32MP sensor for selfies and video calling. Moreover, the phone has equipped with a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
Another interesting feature of the Oppo A98 5G is a 5,000mAh large battery that supports 67W fast charging technology. As per Oppo, the SuperVOOC charging’s 5 minutes charge can provide almost 6 hours of backup. In terms of dimensions, the phone is very handy in the palm, it is just 8.2mm thick and weighs around 192 grams.
