HONOR has officially launched the HONOR X70 smartphone in China, marking its entry into the budget-friendly smartphone segment. The device arrives with standout features including a massive 8,300mAh silicon-carbon battery, 80W wired and wireless charging support, IP69K water resistance, and a high-brightness 6.79-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. The Honor X70 comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM. Despite packing a powerhouse battery, the handset manages to maintain a sleek profile and lightweight design.
HONOR X70 Price and Availability
The HONOR X70 is offered in four RAM and storage configurations. The base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at CNY 1,399 (approx. Rs. 16,750), while the 8GB + 256GB variant costs CNY 1,599 (approx. Rs. 19,150). The higher-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is available at CNY 1,799 (approx. Rs. 21,550), and the top-end 12GB + 512GB version is priced at CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs. 23,950). The smartphone comes in four colour options, i.e. Cinnabar Red, Bamboo Green, Moon White, and Midnight Black. It will go on sale in China starting July 18. The device is currently exclusive to China, with no official word on global availability yet.
Talking about specs and features, the HONOR X70 features a large 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2640 × 1200 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate. It delivers peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits and supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, making it one of the brightest panels in its category. The screen also offers 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming to enhance comfort in low-light conditions.
As for processor, the handset comes equipped with a 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset with an octa-core CPU clocked up to 2.3GHz, clubbed with an Adreno 810 GPU. For RAM and storage, it comes in up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Moving to the software, the Honor X70 runs Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0 out of the box.

The HONOR X70 has a third-generation silicon-carbon battery, rated at 8,300mAh — the second phone to cross the 8000mAh mark after HONOR’s own Power series. The company claims up to six years of battery durability. Despite the massive battery, the phone weighs just 193g (199g for 512GB) and is less than 8mm thick. The full dimensions of the phone are 161.9 x 76.1 x 7.76mm.
In the photography department, it offers a 50MP back camera with an f/1.88 aperture, OIS and 4K video recording. On the front panel, the Honor X70 gets an 8MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.
For protection, the smartphone arrives with SGS five-star drop resistance certification, gold-label three-proof durability, and 2.5m drop resistance thanks to aerospace-grade materials. The phone also boasts IP69K certification, offering protection from high-pressure water jets and even boiling water immersion.
