Huawei Mate X7 with 8-inch 120Hz Inner Display and Kirin 9030 Pro Chipset Launched

The Huawei Mate X7 has been announced in the Chinese market on Tuesday. The company’s latest book-style foldable smartphone offers an octa-core Kirin 9030 Pro chipset along with up to 16GB of RAM. It comes with an 8-inch inner display and a 6.49-inch outer display. The company has provided a 50MP triple rear camera unit, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and Harmony 6.0 operating system.

The handset is priced at Yuan 12,999 (roughly Rs. 1,63,500) for the 12GB RAM with 256GB internal storage variant. The Huawei Mate X7 is also available in 512GB storage variant, which has been priced at Yuan 13,999 (roughly Rs. 1,76,000). The Huawei Mate X7 Collector’s Edition 16GB RAM with 512GB storage carries a price tag of Yuan 14,999 (roughly Rs. 1,88,500). The variant is also available in 1TB storage option, which costs at Yuan 15,999 (roughly Rs. 2,01,000). The Huawei Mate X7 Collector’s Edition Stylus is priced at Yuan 17,599 (roughly Rs. 2,21,115). It comes in five color options, i.e. Black, Blue, Purple, Red, and White.

The smartphone is now go on available to order in China and will go on sale in China starting December 5th.

Coming to the specs and features, the Huawei Mate X7 features an 8-inch foldable flexible OLED LTPO inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, up to 2500nits of peak brightness and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate. Talking about external display, it comes with a 6.49-inch quad-curved LTPO display with a resolution of 1080 x 2444 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 300Hz touch sampling rate, and 3000nits of peak brightness.

Under the hood, the foldable smartphone comes equppied with a Kirin 9030 Pro processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. For biometric authentication, the Huawei Mate X7 offers a side-mounted fingeprint sensor. There’s an IPX8 rating certification for splash resistance. On the software side, the handset ships with HarmonyOS 6.0 out of the box.

In terms of camera, the Mate X7 gets a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP main camera with an f1.49 – f/4.0 variable aperture and OIS, a 40MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto lens with and f/2.2 aperture. The inner and external screen offer an 8MP camera with an f/2.2 and f/2.4 apertures, respectively for selfies and video calling.

The phone packs a 5,525mAh battery. Moreover, the Mate X7 Collector’s Edition offers a 5,600mAh battery. Both variants support 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging technology. In the connectivity side, it includes 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 6.0 LE, BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, NavIC, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
