Nubia Air with 6.78-inch 120Hz Display, 5000mAh Battery and 5.9mm Sleek Design Announced

ZTE has released the Nubia Air at IFA 2025 in Berlin, which is the company’s latest ultra-thin smartphone. The ZTE Nubia Air features a 5.9mm slim design, a 6.78-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging technology. There’s an in-display fingerprint sensor, and it has IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.

Nubia Air Price and Availability

The Nubia Air is priced at $279 (approximately Rs. 24,600) and is offered in a single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. Sales begin this month in Europe, with availability expanding to Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and additional regions in the coming months.

Buyers can purchase the smartphone in three color options, i.e. Titanium Black, Streamer Black, and Titanium Desert.

The Nubia Air features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,720×1,224 pixels. It delivers a 120Hz refresh rate, a pixel density of 440ppi, and an impressive peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The screen also covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Speaking about software, the handset runs on Android 15.

Inside the phone, the Nubia Air gets a Unisoc T8300 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Users can also take advantage of an additional 12GB of virtual RAM expansion. Nubia highlights the inclusion of an AI Performance Engine that enhances CPU efficiency, manages unused apps by putting them into hibernation, and helps extend battery life by up to 20 percent.

For biometric authentication, the device has an under-display fingerprint sensor. Furthermore, the Nubia Air comes with IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications, ensuring strong protection against dust and water. In terms of battery, the smartphone arrives with a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

In terms of photography, the smartphone launches with a triple camera setup on the back, featuring a 50MP primary sensor with electronic image stabilisation (EIS), a 2MP depth sensor and an Auxiliary lens. On the front, it has a 20MP camera for selfies and video calls. The device offers modes like Video Anti-Shake, AI Super Night, AI HDR, and a dedicated VLOG option. Additionally, it includes a range of AI-powered editing tools such as Magic Editor and Magic Eraser for enhanced post-processing.
