Oppo just released its much-awaited Oppo Reno 15 series at an event in China. The series offers two new smartphones – Oppo Reno 15 and Oppo Reno 15 Pro. Both the smartphones are powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8450 4nm chipset with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and have a 200MP triple rear camera unit. The Reno 15 gets a 6.32-inch OLED display while the Reno 15 Pro offers a 6.78-inch OLED display. The Oppo Reno 15 has a 6,200mAh battery, and the pro model provides a 6,500mAh battery; however, both support 80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging.
Oppo Reno 15, Oppo Reno 15 Pro Price and Availability
Oppo Reno 15 has been priced in China at Yuan 2,999 (roughly Rs. 37,000) for the base 12GB RAM with 256GB internal storage model. The 12GB RAM with 512GB storage and 16GB RAM with 256GB storage models cost Yuan 3,299 (roughly 41,000) and Yuan 3,299 (roughly Rs. 41,000), respectively. The 16GB RAM with 512GB storage model carries a price tag of Yuan 3,599 (roughly Rs. 45,000). The high-end 16GB RAM with 1TB storage model comes at Yuan 3,999 (roughly Rs. 50,000).
Coming to the Oppo Reno 15 Pro price, it starts at Yuan 3,699 (roughly Rs. 46,000) for the base 12GB RAM with 256GB storage model. The 12GB RAM with 512GB storage and 16GB RAM with 512GB storage models have been priced at Yuan 3,999 (roughly Rs. 50,000) and Yuan 4,299 (roughly Rs. 54,000), respectively. The top-end variant 16GB RAM with 1TB storage model carries a price tag of Yuan 4,799 (roughly Rs. 60,000).
The smartphones will go on sale in China on November 21 through the company’s official website. The Oppo Reno 15 will be available in Starlight Bow, Aurora Blue, Canele Brown and Starlight Bow Song Yuqi color options, while the Oppo Reno 15 Pro will be available in three color options, i.e. Starlight Bow, Honey Gold, and Canele Brown.
Moving to the specs, the Oppo Reno 15 offers a 6.32-inch 1.5k OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, up to 3600nits of peak brightness, and 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. On the other hand, the Pro variant features a 6.78-inch 1.5k flat OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and up to 3600nits peak brightness. They are protected by Oppo Crystal Shield Glass protection.

Both the smartphones are equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset clubbed with Mali G720 MC7 GPU. They are paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The Reno 15 series smartphones also have an under-display fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor. Furthermore, both devices come with IP666 + IP68 + IP69 rating certifications for water and dust resistance.
The other notable sensors on the handsets are an accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, color temperature sensor, electronic compass, gyroscope, hall effect sensor, and IR blaster. In terms of connectivity features, the Reno 15 series phones include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and a USB Type-C port.

On the camera front, Oppo Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro arrive with a triple camera unit on the rear, including a 200MP main sensor with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, and a 50MP 3.5x periscope sensor with OIS and an f/2.8 aperture. On the front, they come with a 50MP sensor with an f2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling.
