Redmi 15 5G with Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC and 7,000mAh Battery Released in India

Xiaomi has unveiled the REDMI 15 5G in India, the newest addition to its number series lineup. The smartphone is powered by a 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 5G chipset and houses a massive 7,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It comes with a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor. On the front, the device sports a 6.9-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a centre punch-hole design, which the company claims to be the largest in its segment. The screen also carries TÜV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light. Other notable features are an IP64 rating and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Redmi 15 5G Price in India and Availability

The smartphone is priced in India starting at Rs. 14,999 for the 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage option. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variants are priced at Rs. 15,999 and Rs. 16,999, respectively.

The handset will be available for purchase through Amazon, Xiaomi India website and retail stores starting August 28. The Redmi 15 5G is available in three color options, i.e. Frosted White, Midnight Black, and Sandy Purple.

As for specs and features, the Redmi 15 5G launches with a 6.9-inch full-HD+ display, offering a 144Hz refresh rate, 288Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 850 nits of peak brightness. The display carries a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The panel is TUV Rheinland certified for low blue light, flicker-free performance, and circadian-friendly viewing. Out of the box, the handset runs on HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15, with a promise of two years of OS upgrades and four years of security patches. It also integrates AI-driven tools, including Google’s Gemini and Circle to Search.

On the processor front, the Redmi 15 5G packs a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Moreover, users can expand its storage capacity through a microSD card (up to 1TB). For security, it comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Connectivity options on the phone are 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a USB Type-C.

Coming to the cameras, the Redmi 15 5G arrives with an AI-backed dual camera setup on the back that houses a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.75 aperture and a secondary sensor. On the front side, it offers an 8MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. For battery, the device provides a 7,000mAh silicone-carbon battery that supports 33W fast wired charging along with 18W reverse wired charging capability.
