At the end of December, Huawei launched its latest Nova 12 series in China which comprises four smartphones – Huawei Nova 12, Huawei Nova 12 Pro, Huawei Nova 12 Ultra, and Huawei Nova 12 Lite. All four models run on HarmonyOS 4 out of the box. Although the design of all four smartphones is the same, their specifications are different. The Nova 12 and Nova Pro models come with the same 6.7-inch display, a 50MP main back sensor, and a 4,600mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. The Huawei Nova 12 and Nova 12 Pro feature a 6.7-inch OLED LTPO display with a resolution of 1224 x 2776 pixels and up to 120Hz refresh rate. The display also comes with 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. The Nova 12 has a punch-hole cutout on the screen, and the 12 Pro offers a pill-shaped island for the selfie and video calling camera.

Under the hood, the Huawei Nova 12 is powered by a Kirin 830 chipset while the Nova 12 Pro comes equipped with Kirin 9000S with Meleoon 910 MP4 GPU. Coming to storage, the base model gets 256GB of inbuilt storage and the top-end model comes with 512GB of storage.
Around the back, both handsets have a dual camera setup that houses a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 lens. In terms of front side, the Huawei Nova 12 gets a single 60MP front sensor, while the Huawei Nova 12 Pro has a dual camera setup, comprising a 60MP primary sensor and an 8MP portrait sensor.
Connectivity options on the Huawei Nova 12 and 12 Pro are Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, NFC, and USB Type-C port. They have an under-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. Both models are powered by a 4600mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging.
