Motorola Edge 50 Fusion with 6.7-inch 144Hz pOLED Display and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC Launched in India

Lenovo-owned smartphone maker, Motorola unveiled a new smartphone in the Indian market called Motorola Edge 50 Fusion. It is a mid-range 5G smartphone that brings a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM. Other notable features are a 6.7-inch 144Hz display, a 50MP dual camera setup on the back and an under-display fingerprint sensor.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion Price in India and Availability

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion has been priced in India at Rs. 22,999 for the base 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage model. The 12GB RAM with 256GB internal storage model comes at Rs. 24,999. It is available in Hot Pink and Marshmallow Blue color options. The Forest Blue color comes with a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) finish.

It will go on sale on May 22 via Flipkart, company’s official website and retail stores in India. Customers can get a Rs. 2,000 instant discount via ICICI bank credit card and credit card EMI transactions.

The smartphone has both 5G and 4G connectivity. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ pOLED curved display that comes with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. The display offers a 144Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 1600nits of peak brightness. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. As for processor, the handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset along with Adreno 710 GPU.

On the camera front, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion sports a dual camera setup on the back panel that houses a 50MP main camera with Sony LYT-700C sensor and an f/1.88 lens. The secondary camera has a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with macro feature. In terms of front camera, the phone offers a 32MP sensor with an f/2.45 lens for selfies and video calling.

For RAM and storage, the Edge 50 Fusion offers up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The device has provided Dolby Atmos sound support. In terms of measurement, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion measures 162 x 73.1 x 7.9mm (Vegan Leather) and 162 x 73.1 x 7.8mm (PMMA), weights about 175 grams. On the software front, it runs on Android 14-based MyUX out of the box.

Moreover, the phone comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. For biometrics, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion includes an under-display fingerprint sensor. Other notable sensors include a proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, e-compass, and ambient light sensor.
