Oppo has unveiled its new budget-friendly smartphone in UAE, called Oppo A18. The smartphone comes with an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery. The budget device also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and Android 13-based ColorOS 13.1 Operating System. Let’s take a look at its specifications and features below.
Oppo A18 Price and Availability
The company hasn’t announced yet its pricing and availability details in the UAE. The device comes in two color options, i.e. Glowing Black and Glowing Blue.
Coming to the specs, the smartphone features a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, an 89.90 percent screen-to-body ratio, and 720nits of peak brightness. The display comes with 720 x 1612 pixels resolution. There’s also a waterdrop-style notch on the front panel for the selfie camera. Talking about Operating System, the Oppo A18 runs on Android 13-based ColorOS 13.1 out of the box.

For hardware and performance, it is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC clubbed with Mali G52 GPU. The Oppo A18 offers 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of EMMC5.1 inbuilt storage. The RAM can be expanded up to another 4GB using additional inbuilt storage. Furthermore, the device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
On the camera front, the Oppo A18 has arrived with a dual rear camera setup that houses an 8MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the device features a 5MP front-facing camera.
Oppo has provided a 5,000mAh battery on the smartphone. In terms of connectivity, it includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.3, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset measures 163.74 x 75.03 x 8.16mm and weighs about 188 grams.
