Xiaomi’s sub-brand has launched its new smartphone in China, called the Redmi K100. It is the third smartphone of Redmi K100 series which offers an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM, a 50MP dual rear camera setup and a massive 10,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. The Redmi K100 also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IP66+IP68+IP69+IP69K rating for water and dust resistance.
Redmi K100 Price and Availability
It has been priced in China at Yuan 3,499 (approx. Rs. 50,000) for the base 12GB RAM with 256GB internal storage variant. The 12GB RAM with 512GB internal storage model comes at Yuan 4,099 (approx. Rs. 58,000). The high-end variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage carries a price of Yuan 4,499 (approx. Rs. 64,000). The Redmi K100 will go on sale in China on October 31; however, the device is now available for pre-order.
The Redmi K100 can be purchased in three colour options, i.e. Black, Fluorescent Green and Snow Rock White.
Talking about specs and features, the phone runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 4 out of the box, which is based on Android 17. The Redmi K100 offers a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 2772 pixels. The screen has a 120Hz refresh rate, a 480Hz touch sampling rate, a 3,500Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, HDR10+ support, Dolby Vision, and P3 wide colour gamut.

Under the hood, the Redmi K100 features an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, which is clocked at 4.32GHz and paired with Adreno 830 GPU. There’s also a dedicated D2 AI gaming chip, built on TSMC’s 12nm process. As for RAM storage, it comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 onboard storage. For durability, it ships with an IP66+IP68+IP69+IP69K rating for water and dust resistance.
Coming to the optics, the smartphone arrives with a dual-camera setup on the back that houses a 50MP (f/1.68) primary camera with a 1/1.55-inch Light Hunter 800 sensor and optical image stablisation. There’s an 8MP secondary ultra-wide-angle camera with a 1/4 inch OV08F sensor. On the front side, it gets a 20MP sensor for selfies and video calling.
The Redmi K100 has an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. As for the battery, the handset is powered by a 10,000mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging. On the connectivity front, it offers 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.4, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, NavIC, and a USB Type-C port.
