Xiaomi has launched its newest book-style foldable smartphone, called Xiaomi 18 Fold. It is currently available for pre-orders in China, and sales will start later this month. The key highlight features of the smartphone are a Xiaomi XRING O3 SoC, a 7.58-inch LTPO foldable main display and a 6,000mAh battery. It offers a Leica-backed 200MP triple rear camera setup and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Xiaomi 18 Fold Price and Availability
The smartphone is priced in China at Yuan 10,999 (around $1,639/Rs. 1,55,000) for the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage model. The 12GB RAM with 512GB storage variant carries a price tag of Yuan 11,999 (around $1,787/Rs. 1,69,000), and the 16GB RAM with 512GB storage variant is priced at Yuan 12,999 (around $1,936/Rs. 1,83,000). The high-end model comes at Yuan 14,999 (around $2,234/Rs. 2,11,300).
The Xiaomi 18 Fold is currently available for pre-orders in China, and customers can purchase this device starting later this month. The smartphone comes in three color options, i.e. Black, Nishino Red, and Warm Gold White.
Moving to the specs and features, the dual-SIM-supporting Xiaomi 18 Fold ships with Android 17-based HyperOS 4 out of the box. In terms of display, it comes with a 7.58-inch LTPO foldable inner display with an AMOLED panel and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, there’s a 5.38-inch AMOLED cover display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0. Both screens have up to 4,000nits of peak brightness.

As for the processor, it comes with a deca-core Xiaomi XRING O3 TSMC chipset paired with a 4-core Xuanjie NPU. The foldable phone offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 onboard storage. However, the top is using LPDDR6 RAM. For biometric authentication, the device gets a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Moreover, it carries an IP58+1P59 ratings for dust and water resistance.
In camera, the Xiaomi 18 Fold sports a triple camera setup on the back, housing a Leica-backed 200MP main camera with Optical Image Stablisation, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 50MP periscope telephoto sensor with 3.5x optical zoom and 7.5x optical quality zoom. Furthermore, the foldable smartphone brings a 16MP camera for the outer and inner displays.
The handset packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Talking about dimensions, it measures 5.02mm when unfolded and 10.68mm when folded, and weighs about 219 grams.
